Education Major

EDUCATION MAJOR

More about the Education motto

The education major offers students the opportunity to study educational theories and practices within the context of spiritual principles. It works with nearby Holy Family University (HFU) to provide a Bachelor of Science degree with Pennsylvania state certification in the following areas:

  • Elementary Education K-6 – all coursework done on campus, senior teaching HFU
  • Special Education – 4 courses to be taken at HFU, senior teaching HFU
  • Early Childhood Education – 3 courses to be taken a HFU, senior teaching HFU

Upon completion of the program students receive their degrees from Bryn Athyn College and apply for certification through Holy Family University. Application for certification is not a degree requirement, nor is it automatic. Secondary certification in history, English, or biology can be earned through respective major programs at Bryn Athyn College and require two to three courses at Holy Family University in addition to the senior teaching courses.
