Glencairn Internship

Education interns at Glencairn Museum, referred to as "edterns," are trained to give tours and answer questions from visitors regarding the museum, the New Church, the College, and the local church K-12 school system. All edterns learn several tour scripts, including two highlight tours and a medieval pilgrimage tour. They also learn how to portray several characters from 13th-century Europe, occasionally impersonating a monk or nun, a castle servant, a knight, or perhaps a king or queen.

Edterns have the opportunity to create a tour and project geared for families who visit during the special Sunday events held at Glencairn Museum four times a year.

The internship continues over three terms, for a total of 200 hours, and earns the education intern 3 credits.
