Admission Requirements and Procedures

Applicants should have an Associate in Arts degree or its equivalent, a minimum overall GPA of 1.9 with a minimum of 2.5 in religion courses and in those courses within the intended major-related fields of study.

Applications should be addressed to the religion program advisor, Rev. Stephen D. Cole.

Course Requirements

  • Fulfill all requirements of any Associate in Arts degree program
  • 42 credits in upper-level religion or major-related subjects:
    • Religion courses used to satisfy the Associate in Arts degree cannot be counted toward this requirement.
    • At least 12 credits in religion must be at the 300-level or above.
    • One independent study (Religion 498/499) must be included in the program.
    • No more than 15 of these 42 credits may come from major-related subjects, which include:
      • Philosophy 310, 311, 320, and 321
      • Education 304
      • History 240
      • Any Greek or Hebrew course, and any upper level Latin course
