Internships and Trips

History majors at Bryn Athyn College have numerous opportunities to extend their learning outside of the classroom.

Internships

History majors frequently pursue internships on and off campus as part of their course of study. In the last few years, history majors have done internships at:

  • Glencairn Museum
  • Pottsgrove Manor
  • Grumblethorpe
  • Posey Bros.
  • Cairnwood Mansion

Trips

Bryn Athyn College enjoys a special relationship with Colonial Williamsburg and Massachusetts Historical Society and the history major visits both regularly.

Bryn Athyn College also sends one student each year with a full scholarship to the Teacher Institute in Early American History at Colonial Williamsburg.

History majors can also take part in international trips co-organized by Bryn Athyn College and Glencairn Museum. Students study the sites they will be visiting in a spring term course and earn an additional History or Fine Arts credit by participating in the two-week trip abroad that follows.
