THE WRITING CENTER AT BRYN ATHYN COLLEGE
The purpose of the Writing Center is...
to help Bryn Athyn College students become better and more confident writers; to offer support for students looking to refine and improve their writing; and to assist everyone from first-year students to advanced writers.
How the Writing Center Works:
At the Writing Center we work with students in one-on-one tutoring sessions. We can help you with your writing from any class and at any stage of the writing process: approaching a topic, generating and organizing ideas, structuring a paper, or addressing specific grammar problems.
We will not copy-edit or write any part of your paper for you. Our goal is to help you improve your own writing by offering feedback and suggestions.
Making an Appointment:
A session is scheduled by appointment. Pre-submitting your paper at least 24 hours in advance of the session will enhance the help we can give you. If you paper is over seven or eight pages in length, we can't help you with all of it in one session.
Grammar Quick Help:
Students who have a focused grammar question about sentence structure, punctuation or a word do not need to make an appointment but can submit the question via email.
