The Swedenborg Library is home to more than 120,000 books, periodicals, and special collections. Located in the heart of the Bryn Athyn College campus, the Library consists of 35,000 square feet of floor space on three floors, including a computer lab. It serves the needs of the College and other schools on campus, as well as members of the Bryn Athyn community. The Library is also a foundation for New Church research. It houses the world's largest collection of Swedenborg's works, among other rare collections.
The Swedenborg Library was opened in 1988. Sweden's Queen Silvia visited to dedicate the Library in honor of one of Sweden's great historical figures, Emanuel Swedenborg, for whom the Library was named. His works are key to the New Church religion.
