Board of Trustees Reviews College Housing Plans.

<< Back

Bethlehem, PA based Architects Spillman-Farmer presented design plans for a proposed college housing project at Bryn Athyn College’s Board of Trustees meeting in September.  The project was unanimously approved by the Board last February and envisions apartment-style housing to accomodate approximately 40 students plus residence assistants. The new structures would be adjacent to Childs Hall and Grant Hall, the existing men’s and women’s residence halls.

Significant renovation to the College’s dining hall will be simultaneously undertaken. The Board reviewed designs for the renovated Dining Hall at the same meeting. The Board of Trustees expressed great enthusiasm for the designs and directed the administration and Finance Committee to finalize financing for these projects. Both projects are slated for completion in 2007-2008.

The college housing project and dining hall renovation are part of the institution’s overall strategic plan.  Plans for a new Science Center and Admissions Pavilion are concurrently underway.
