Online Viewbook: a multimedia introduction to Bryn Athyn College
On Sunday, December 16, Bryn Athyn College's community service organization, CARE, will host a Christmas party for a group of kids from HELP Philadelphia. Under the national umbrella organization HELP USA, HELP Philadelphia is a non-profit agency in West Philadelphia that promotes self-sufficiency among low-income and homeless families. Bryn Athyn College's long-standing relationship with HELP Philadelphia usually includes several events each year--from field trips to the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust with the kids, to painting at the housing development, the annual Christmas Party is one of the most festive. This year, the day will begin with a party hosted by Brian and Emily Schnarr where Bryn Athyn College students give gifts to the kids and do a holiday craft. In the afternoon everyone will attend the Children's Tableaux in Heilman Hall at Bryn Athyn Church School. Afterwards, students and children alike will enjoy a few Christmas hymns around the bonfire while they visit the live animals on the Bryn Athyn Cathedral lawn. Anyone interested in helping with the event should contact the CARE HELP Philadelphia Coordinator.
