Residence Life Facilities

Residence life facilities are separate for men and women and include Grant Hall (women), Childs Hall (men), and four satellite houses adjacent to campus.

As the main residence halls on campus, Grant Hall and Childs Hall are each managed and supervised by a director, an assistant director, and a staff of resident assistants (RAs). Grant Hall includes a combination of double- and single-occupancy rooms, while all rooms in Childs Hall are doubles. Both residence halls include social and study lounges, laundry facilities (coin operated), and a public kitchen for student use. All resident rooms include:

  • Bed (with standard length mattress)
  • Desk
  • Dresser
  • Closet or wardrobe
  • Blinds or curtains
  • Wall-to-wall carpeting
  • Telephone jack (1) with personalized voicemail for each occupant (2)
  • Computer network jacks (2)

Satellite housing (Junge House, Synnestvedt House, Social Center Apartment, and Stable Apartment) offers smaller, home-like living for older students. These satellite houses are available only after spaces are filled in Grant Hall and Childs Hall. All satellite houses include a living room, kitchen, laundry facilities (coin operated) and shared telephone and computer access with personalized voicemail for each resident. Resident rooms in satellite houses include:

  • Bed (with standard length mattress)
  • Desk
  • Dresser
  • Closet
