The Consolidated Plant Operations (CPO) seeks various student workers to work on an as needed basis as an On-Call employee. Participants on this crew may be called upon to help with a number of situations that arise during the school year. Workers should be able to comfortably lift 50 pounds and work in cold, windy, wet and slippery/icy conditions. Working hours may include weekends, late nights or early morning as is often the case during a snowstorm. If selected, you may be contacted by any number of supervisors and asked if you are available. To join this crew, it is understood you may have other campus employment.

Duties include:

  • Moving furniture or other items,
  • Cleaning
  • Setting up for functions
  • Leaf removal
  • Snow removal.
  • Other duties as required by the Director of Campus Services

QUALIFICATIONS:

The Science Department seeks a lab assistant student worker to perform the duties and responsibilities required of this role. Duties include:

  • Set-up and clean-up for high school Human Anatomy and Physiology labs
  • Set-up and clean-up for high school  Introduction to Physical Science labs
  • Clerical work including photocopying, laminating, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled as a student of Bryn Athyn College and is in good academic standing. Applicants should have a flexible schedule, have attention for detail, be able to work alone, be punctual, be responsible, and preferably (though not required) have taken at least one college science course with a lab.  Student must be very dependable, have the ability to follow instructions and display a sense of professionalism at all times while on duty.

  • Cleaning the lab and its equipment
  • Supervising FA 120 students as they work on their projects
  • Making sure safety policies are followed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled as a student of Bryn Athyn College and is in good academic standing. Applicants must have taken FA 120 so they know the proper and safe use of tools and equipment.  Student must be very dependable, have the ability to follow instructions and display a sense of professionalism at all times while on duty.

  • Providing music for Friday Praise and Testimony services
  • Recruiting and scheduling special musicians for Friday Praise and Testimony services
  • Setting up and taking down audio equipment
  • Leading singing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled as a student of Bryn Athyn College and is in good academic standing.   • Porter services (misc. jobs)

The CPO Housekeeping seeks a housekeeper / cleaner student worker to perform the duties and responsibilities required of this role. Duties may include the following tasks listed below depending on position.

  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Clean bathrooms
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Vacuum
  • Clean glass
  • Other general housekeeping tasks

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be currently enrolled as a student of Bryn Athyn College and is in good academic standing. Applicants do not need prior experience, training will be provided.  A general knowledge of housekeeping is useful.  Student must be very dependable, have the ability to follow instructions and display a sense of professionalism at all times while on duty.

The IT Department seeks a HelpDesk Technician student worker to perform the duties and responsibilities required of this role.

  • Provide first level and on-site hardware and network connectivity support for all campus standard computers.
  • Provide remote and on-site software support for all campus standard applications, including Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, and Outlook.  May include installations.
  • Perform new computer installations.
  • Provide occasional training sessions on supported applications.
  • Use ticketing database to track incidents and labor for all HelpDesk requests.

This experiential education is a key aspect of a student’s educational experience. Sodexo seeks food service student workers to perform the duties and responsibilities required of this role. Duties include:

  • Front of the House – Setting up, restocking, and opening stations, main line, fruit bar, cereal, beverage, deli station and dessert station. Operating stations (serving) during the meal, breaking down stations after the meal, refilling, wrapping, day dots, and storing food until next service. Cleaning wells, and wiping down service lines. Other duties wiping tables and refilling napkins, salt & pepper shakers, sweeping front and back of service lines.
  • Back of the House – Operating the dish room, learning how to set-up, and operate the dish machine, how to run dishes through, restock dishes, tumblers, mugs and flatware, during and after all meals. Breaking down and cleaning dish machine at the end of service, pulling trash, and sweeping dish room area. Other duties helping out in the back of the house (kitchen) with odd jobs, stocking food, refilling milk, ice, juice machines. Restocking coffee station, and ice cream.
  • Food Service Prep – Operating their own station, Pizza Station, learning how to make pizza’s, cheese, pepperoni, and the special of the day, preparing, cooking, timing, counts, and serving at station. Refilling station during and after the meal. Grill Station – learning to cook on the grill making hamburgers, grilled cheese, veggie burgers, French fries, and the special of the day, cutting tomatoes, lettuce, and all the sides to go with the station. Restocking bread and hamburger rolls. Deli Station – learning how to make sandwiches, and the special of the day, checking, and restocking lunch meat, cheese, tomatoes, and sides, during and after the meal. Restocking bread and bagel station, cream cheese, jelly, bagels.
  • Student Lead – A student who could open and close High School and Brickman Dining Hall building alone or until a Sodexo employee could come in, for instance a snow storm. This student worker would need no supervision, on their own could make decisions, and would have numbers of other student workers to call to come in and help, know how everything operates, from the back of the house to the front of the house. The student could start coffee, place out pastries and the fruit bar; open the doors so students on campus could come in without wafting. Other duties cashier, some food prep, salad and fruit bar, and baking making cookies, Jell-O, pudding, and cakes learning timing, and oven use.

Qualifications – Must be currently enrolled as a student of Bryn Athyn College and is in good academic standing. Applicants should have great customer service skills, timelines, and willing to work all shifts breakfast, lunch and dinner and, or weekends shifts. Student must be very dependable, have the ability to follow instructions and display a sense of professionalism at all times while on duty. The President Office is seeking a part-time, administrative assistant to perform a variety of projects for the College. A minimum of 15 hours per week in the afternoon is required. This is a non-exempt, non-benefit eligible, hourly position.

Responsibilities and duties include answering the telephone, editing material and correspondence, preparing spreadsheets, being flexible with a variety of projects, and creating a cordial presence.

Qualifications: 2-3 years of administrative experience as desirable. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with other offices and manage sensitive matters with discretion. Must possess knowledge of MS Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel. Must have the ability to be flexible and work with various projects in other offices. Strong writing and editing skills are preferred.
