A dozen Bryn Athyn students spent Spring Break with Habitat for Humanity siding and painting houses in Florida.
The students drove down the day after their exams in the Bryn Athyn College bus. Though they did take a little time to enjoy the Florida sunshine, the students spent a large part of each day working hard to make homes for hurricane victims.
"Working with the retired volunteers gave us a sense of community for this project and helped to guide and provide us with the knowledge we needed. Getting to know all the other students on this trip and working as a team with them was one of the most rewarding things."
— Sarah Jenny Cresswell, Freshman
Bryn Athyn students and Habitat for Humanity volunteers finished the exteriors of two houses during the week, working on roofing, siding, and painting the structures.
"I came to a realization that in life ... there is definitely nothing like, 'too little.' The little you can do is PLENTY, and goes a long way!" — Denis Dziekpor, Sophomore
