Academics at Bryn Athyn

Liberal arts, spiritual values, and experiential learning

Our approach to academics incorporates a strong liberal arts foundation, spiritual values that permeate the curriculum, experiential education, and a personalized approach tailored to your needs and interests.

The teachings of the New Church inform our curriculum and will help you explore what it means to live an engaged and useful life.

Things to note about academics at Bryn Athyn:

  • 100% of courses are taught by faculty members, so your classroom experiences will be high quality and intellectually engaging.
  • A student-to-faculty ratio of 7:1 means you'll know your professors and will get a personalized education to meet your needs.
  • Our generous endowment makes our quality education affordable.
  • The new Grant R. Doering Center for Science and Research (completed fall 2009) and our cooperation with the nearby Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust enhance our science program.
  • Experiential learning, taking shape through service, international experiences, and an extensive internship program, will broaden your skills, knowledge, and world view.
