Philosophy Interdisciplinary Program

The Philosophy Interdisciplinary Program allows students to take advantage of our philosophy offerings while also applying their theories in another discipline.

A total of 130 credits is required for the BA degree. The senior research essay or project serves as a capstone. Students will work with the philosophy program advisor to design their program.

Prerequisites:

  • Philosophy 101: Critical Thinking
  • Philosophy 102: Introduction to Philosophy
  • Philosophy 111: Introduction to Moral Philosophy

Philosophy Program Requirements:

200-level courses:

  • Philosophy 210: Ancient Philosophy or Philosophy 211: Modern Philosophy
  • Philosophy 220: Political Thought

300-level courses:

  • Philosophy 311: Topics in Contemporary Philosophy II
  • One of the following:
    • Philosophy 310: Topics in Contemporary Philosophy I
    • Philosophy 320: Swedenborg's Philosophy
    • Philosophy 321: Swedenborg's Philosophy
