Hours By appointment
Location Pendleton Hall

Our job is to:

  • Help you become a better and more confident writer
  • Offer support if you're looking to refine and improve your writing
  • Assist everyone, from first-year students to advanced writers

We work with you in one-on-one tutoring sessions, and can help with writing projects for any class and at any stage of the writing process, including:

  • Approaching a topic
  • Generating and organizing ideas
  • Structuring a paper
  • Addressing specific grammar problems

While we won't copy-edit or write any part of your paper, our goal is to help you improve your writing skills by offering feedback and suggestions.

To make an appointment:

Writing Center help sessions are scheduled by appointment. Pre-submitting your paper at least 24 hours in advance of the session will enhance the help we can provide. If your paper is more than seven or eight pages in length, Writing Center staff will need more than one session to review your paper with you.

Grammar quick help via e-mail:

Have a focused grammar question about sentence structure, punctuation, or word choice? Submit your question via e-mail. No appointment is necessary.
