Alumni Association

The Bryn Athyn College Alumni Association is an independent organization dedicated to supporting Bryn Athyn College in fulfilling its mission and developing its uses.

The Alumni Association works in partnership with Bryn Athyn College administration and faculty to assist students in preparing for life after college. In addition, the Alumni Association creates continuing opportunities for interaction among alumni as we apply the unique moral and spiritual components of our education to professions and uses beyond the college years.

Focusing on networking and mentoring in a variety of professions, the Association is available to build internship and career opportunities for students and create a culture of continuing interaction and volunteer support among alumni.

Alumni Communications

This webpage will be your central information source for Alumni Association plans, actions, accomplishments, and member opportunities. Our facebook page also supports active and dynamic social interactions among alumni and between alumni and students. In addition, alumni will be receiving periodic mail to alert you to special events.

Service Opportunities

Serving alongside students, Alumni Association members participate in a variety of activities that are important to students. These opportunities foster informal interaction and communication between alumni and students, leading to a larger community working together for the common good. For example:

  1. Service Day at Bryn Athyn College kicks off the school year with a variety of activities that are supported by Alumni Association.
  2. Flowers for Graduation – 9:00 AM, Thursday, May 24 in Brickman Dining Hall.
  3. Bryn Athyn Bounty is a farmers’ market that includes produce from the College Garden, with proceeds benefiting Bryn Athyn College. It will reopen for the year on Saturday, May 6th, from 9:00 AM – Noon.

Alumni Reunion and Open House at the Brickman Center

This mix and mingle Alumni social event during Charter Day weekend was a great place to reconnect with old friends. Alumni had the opportunity to meet with faculty members and some of their students to hear first-hand what is happening in the academic programs at the College. Several BAC student clubs had exhibit booths, and a student vocal group sang as the entertainment. Fred and Greta Odhner were given the Distinguished Alumni Award, and Don Fitzpatrick received the Outstanding Volunteer Award for his many years of work at the Swedenborg Library.

Career Planning and Enhancement

The Alumni Association assists the College with resources that help students understand and pursue options for employment. The College’s unique brand of liberal arts education creates students who will be model, long-term employees. The Association can introduce students to professions that may be available to them and provide mentoring as they pursue their interests. In addition, the Association can be a resource for ongoing career enhancement through alumni connections.

Student Intern Program

This program assists the College by developing a “family of businesses” that can offer internships to our students, which can help them to focus on future careers. We would love to hear from any alumni who are in a position to participate.
