Dance Ensemble

Looking for a creative way to express yourself outside the classroom? Consider our Dance Ensemble.

Dance is a Bryn Athyn tradition, and our ensemble performs several times throughout the year. The ensemble can accommodate a variety of levels of previous training. Both experienced, advanced dancers and beginners can be involved and find opportunities to be challenged, grow their skills, and enjoy performing. Our ensemble adds beauty and richness to campus events and gatherings. The program encourages self-expression, cooperation, and development of individual technique, and provides instruction in choreography and performance skills.

Choreography includes a number of styles of dance:

  • Modern
  • Contemporary jazz
  • Theater jazz
  • Hip hop
  • Ballet
  • Tap

We encourage dancers to collaborate in the choreography process. Our ensemble schedules its own concerts throughout the year and performs for special college events, such as College Alumni Weekend.

Facilities like our dance studio in the Asplundh Field House and the top-notch Mitchell Performing Arts Center give dancers ideal venues for practice and performance.

Fall Dance Concert Sunday, November 8, 2009 — 8 pm
Winter Dance Concert Sunday, February 7, 2010 — 8 pm
Spring Dance Concert Friday, May 7, 2010 — 8 pm

All performances are held in the Mitchell Performing Arts Center.
