
If you love music and enjoy performing, there are opportunities for you to be a part of making music with College, church, and community choral and instrumental groups.
Bryn Athyn Orchestra: by audition, open to students and community members, performs regularly
Instrumental opportunities are also available on a more limited basis, but we're open to students creating their own possibilities. A flute player recently organized her own woodwind ensemble. Depending on the musical talents our new students bring to campus, other possibilities include a string quartet, a small chamber orchestra, or other small instrumental ensembles.
If you're a talented brass musician, performing with the community's professional brass ensemble, the Bryn Athyn Cathedral Brass, is a possibility.
You'll also find other classical performing opportunities in chapel services and other services of worship.
Bryn Athyn College ROCKS! is a unique joint student-faculty group. The original group formed in 2003 to put on a fundraiser towards building a new science center on campus. Since their first Pink Floyd tribute concert, they have continued to perform for standing-room-only crowds at Mitchell Performing Arts Center.
