Digital Arts Information Session
On Monday, March 24, 2014, Lance Pendleton will demonstrate ways to bring your ideas to life with everyday technology
At the intersection of technology and liberal arts are the Digital Arts. Using readily available technology it is easier than ever to convey your ideas through film, photography, audio recording, and graphic design. You already have the tools you need to make an impact; this lecture will let you know how to make them work for you.
Mr. Pendleton will provide an overview of the four basic Digital Arts components (Film, Photography, Audio, and Graphic Design), and how they are used in personal, professional, and educational environments. The talk will include brief demonstrations iMovie/Final Cut X, iPhoto/Aperture/Photoshop, Garage Band/ Podcaster, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
After a short demonstration of iTunes U and its use in the academic setting, Mr. Pendleton will lead a discussion on how the Digital Arts can be used to expand students knowledge base, creativity and support the college. The presentation will wrap up with a Q&A session.
The program is 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Doering Center, Room 119.
