There
have been four productions of Bryn Athyn College Rocks!
prior to BAC ROCKS! 2008, all staged in the Mitchell
Performing Arts Center in Bryn Athyn. The first
production, BAC ROCKS! 2003,
was a Pink Floyd tribute that was performed on April
11, 2003. The following year, BAC
ROCKS! 2004 was staged on April 7, 2004 in front
of the first ever standing room only crowd for a paying
audience in the Mitchell Performing Arts Center. The
musical theme for BAC ROCKS! 2004 was classic rock.
Later on that spring, on May 1, the BAC ROCKS! band
played an outdoor
show on the steps of the main College building
as part of the 2004 Bryn Athyn College Alumni Weekend.
Last year, BAC ROCKS! 2005
was performed on February 19, 2005, featuring a set
of mini tributes to bands including Queen, the Police,
Chicago and the Allman Brothers. BAC
ROCKS! 2006 was a tribute to the Beatles and was
performed on October 18, 19 and 22 in the Mitchell
Performing Arts Center. A week prior to these shows
the band performed a surprise
gig on the roof top of the campus dining hall
to promote the upcoming Beatles production.
